OLD. SCHOOL. LOVE. me & regina spektor (@ReSpektor), right before a gig together a long time ago in philadelphia. 

her songs, her voice, her music, those WORDS, those worlds - came into my ears like a music box hurricane. the album was “soviet kitsch”…the first record i’d heard since high school that made me obsessed. i listened to it again and again and again, on a bike, in bed, in the car. i was so fucking glad she agreed to open up for my band. soon after, she got famous.

i was happy.
